I‘m so very ordinary, nothing special on my own.
Oh, I have never walked on water, and I have never calmed a storm.
Sometimes I’m hiding away from the madness around me like a child who’s afraid of the dark
But when I call on Jesus, All things are possible
I can mount on wings like eagles’ and soar When I call on Jesus
Mountains are gonna fall ’cause He’ll move heaven and earth to come rescue me when I call
Weary brother, broken daughter, little widow mother, you’re not alone
If you’re tired and scared of the madness around you
If you can’t find the strength to carry on
When you call on Jesus, All things are possible
You can mount on wings like eagles’ and soar
When you call on Jesus, Mountains are gonna fall ’cause
He’ll move heaven and earth to come rescue you
When you call.

When the world is dark and dreary and your way is hard to find
Just keep these thoughts in mind
When in sorrow....call John 14...“Let not your heart be troubled....“
When people fail you...call Psalm 27....“The Lord is my light....“
When you have sinned.....call Psalm 51....“Have mercy on me, O God...“
When you worry...call Matthew 6:25–34...“Therefore I say to you do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink...“. Worry is inconsistant. If we can trust Jesus to provide us with our life, can we not also trust Him with our daily needs? Worry is irrational. If our Lord cares for the birds, will he not also care for us, since we are more valuable than birds? Worry is irreligeous. When we worry, we act like those who do not know God. “Do not worry about tomorrow, for the things of tomorrow will worry about its own things.“
When you are in danger ....call Psalm 91...“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust...“ This shows God‘s fierce love for humanity.
When God seems far away...call Psalm 139...“O Lord, You have searched me and know me...You understand my thought afar off...and are acquainted with all my ways...“ God may not remove all our troubles, but when we ask for strength he will be there. Because we don‘t get everything we want at the exact moment we ask for it...just remember God is in charge and His timing is not our timing.
For how to get along with fellow man...call Romans 12:9–21...“Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good... If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head... Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.“ Christians are to do the opposite of what their enemies do. Doing what‘s right and good will drive them crazy and it might just promote reconciliation.
For Paul‘s secret for happiness...call Colossians 3:12–17...“...(15) and let the peace of God rule in your hearts....and be thankful...“ It comes down to your character...when God is in your heart you become a new person, which puts a song in your heart.
