Fear, Anger, Violence

You are not hiddenThere’s never been a momentYou were forgottenYou are not hopelessThough you have been brokenYour innocence stolen
I hear you whisper underneath your breathI hear your SOS, your SOS
I will send out an army to find youIn the middle of the darkest nightIt’s true, I will rescue you
There is no distanceThat cannot be coveredOver and overYou’re not defenselessI’ll be your shelterI’ll be your armor I will never stop marching to reach youIn the middle of the hardest fightIt’s true, I will rescue you
Oh, I will rescue you

Fear-mongering, or scare-mongering, causes fear by using exaggerated rumours of impending danger.  It is the act of deliberately inciting fear in order to manipulate someone.

There is the threat of nuclear war, from which direction will the bomb come, as there are many countries with this capability.  Climate change, we are going to die in 12 years because our world is changing due to temperature and weather patterns, and pollution.  Then of course there is terrorism, the infiltration of bad people coming into our cities and blowing everything up.  The health pandemic we recently had and yes it took many lives, but did we need to be scared to breathe with masks and keeping our distance from others, and taking injections of stuff we didn’t really know if it was helping, by those who said do it or else, so we did it.  Economic collapse, cyber-warfare and government corruption, need I go on?  Media spread fear is easy because it’s in everybody’s hands, at your fingertips, not all of it is truth.  It creates an image of people ruled by their emotions, making poor decisions.

With all this fear building up inside people get angry.  When people get angry they want to break something, they want to hurt someone, they loose control over themselves and everything around them.

The anger turns to violence.   We witness kickings and punchings and stabbings and shootings…what else…robberies, verbal hate speech and bullying causing suicides in our young people.  Why are people so mean and hateful?

It’s hopelessness.  Satan’s goal is to create hopelessness in us in order to take over our thinking and our sensibilities.  Satan is working overtime, he knows his time on earth is coming to an end.  He wants to pit brother against brother and nation against nation.  We have a satanic curse that devours the earth.  Isaiah 24:3-5, “The land shall be entirely emptied and utterly plundered, For the Lord has spoken this word.  The earth mourns and fades away, the world languishes and fades away; the haughty people of the earth languish.  The earth is also defiled under its inhabitants, because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.”  That seems like hopelessness in a nut shell.  This hasn’t been fulfilled yet, but it’s on it’s way.

We need to drain the fear and anger out of us and turn to the One who paid the price already for a peace that passes all understanding.  Philippians 4:6-7, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”  So through the wars and rumours of wars we can be prosperous and fulfilled through Jesus.  The hopelessness will evaporate.  Think about the most joyful thing that has ever happened to you and multiply it a thousand times.  Without pain and suffering and tears, only joy forever.  Revelation 22:3-5 (NIV) tells us, “No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.”

Sin brought a curse over us from Adam and Eve, but, the curse can be lifted through Jesus and there shall be no war, no tears, no pain, ever again.

If you don’t know Jesus but would like to make Him your Saviour over your life in these trying times and forever more, just say this little prayer to Him with an open heart and He will hear you and come into your heart
