Don’t assume that God’s dismissed you from his mind,
Don’t assume that God’s forgotten to be kind;
For no matter what you do, his love still follows you;
Don’t think that you have left him far behind.
For his love remains the same,
He knows you by your name,
Don’t think because you failed him he despairs;
For he gives to those who ask
His grace for every task,
God plans for you in love for he still cares.
Don’t assume that God will plan for you no more,
Don’t assume that there’s no future to explore;
For your life he’ll re-design, the pattern be divine;
Don’t think that your repentance he’ll ignore.
Don’t assume you cannot give what he’ll demand,
Don’t assume that God condemns you out of hand;
For he gives to those who ask his grace for every task;
Don’t think that God will fail to understand.

John 3:16

This verse pops up at sports events, at music events, at school events, on billboards.  Most of us know what John 3:16 says, but there are thousands who don’t.  It has however spurred thousands to google it and find out.

In my Bible     John 3:16 is written in red.

God’s love is enormous in every dimension.

  • The width of God’s love: “God so loved the whole world.”  His arms stretched wide to include everyone.
  • The length of God’s love: “He gave His only Son.”  That is the length to which  God went to save us.
  • The depth of God’s love: “That whoever believes in Him.”  God reaches down to the very depths of mankind.
  • The height of God’s love:  “Should not perish but have everlasting life.”  We will live in heaven with Him forever.

As Paul wrote to the Ephesians 3:17-19, “That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend will all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height – to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”

In 25 words God gives you the full Gospel:

                                                                                          For God so loved the world

                                                    that He gave His Only

                                                                 begotten Son, that whoever believes

                                                   in Him should not Perish

                                                                 but have Everlasting

                                                                                Life.
