There’s a peace I’ve come to knowThough my heart and flesh may failThere’s an anchor for my soulI can say “It is well”
Jesus has overcomeAnd the grave is overwhelmedThe victory is wonHe is risen from the dead
And I will rise when He calls my nameNo more sorrow, no more painI will rise on eagles’ wingsBefore my God fall on my kneesAnd riseI will rise
There’s a day that’s drawing nearWhen this darkness breaks to lightAnd the shadows disappearAnd my faith shall be my eyes
And I hear the voice of many angels sing,“Worthy is the Lamb”And I hear the cry of every longing heart,“Worthy is the Lamb”
What is your perception of Heaven? What are you thinking of taking with you? You know luggage won’t be necessary… However a reservation will be required!
You came into this world with nothing….you will leave with nothing….however being ready is important.
Interestingly it’s not a round-trip.
You might think everyone will be allowed into heaven……..NOT SO…….
There is only ONE WAY by which you can get to heaven and if you are not prepared for this trip of a lifetime, the alternative is very ugly.
John 6:40, “And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.” “Seeing” means understanding/believing, “believing” means trusting Jesus as our spiritual Bread of Life, and “raising up” signifies the complete redemption of believers (soul & body) at the final day, ensuring eternal security.
Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” This is Satan’s wish for us that because we are sinners we will remain sinners for all eternity. He doesn’t like the thought that we have an alternative to a better more fulfilled life with Jesus. The more who turn to Jesus, the less company Satan will have in hell. There will be unspeakable “joy” with Jesus.
Acts 4:12, “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Even today, from when Jesus first came on the scene, Jesus has been on trial, a trial we as Christians are a party to. Jesus is the only one who can provide salvation and a way of escape from the jail Satan wants to confine us to.
Romans 6:22-23, “But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Unbelievers are free from righteousness, in other words it makes no demands on them. So it’s no surprise when unbelievers behave wickedly, they don’t know anything else. But for the believer, we are free from sin and are invited to an everlasting life of holiness and receiving this grace which is a gift from God, which He promises you, through Jesus.
On your trip, where you need no luggage, your itinerary will look like this: You get provisions; You get forgiveness; You get peace; You get protection; You get purpose; You get a relationship; You get eternity. No wonder we don’t need a suitcase to pack, we wouldn’t have room for anything else.
So when you are contemplating about where you will be going at the end of your days, have you considered heaven? Heaven will be a place of perfect health and strength. A place where we will no longer face disease or crying or pain. Isn’t that a promise you can hold in your mind today?
Just one more thing…Be Ready…Why? Because Jesus could call us up at any moment. There won’t be a warning for when this will happen. As Paul says in 1 Corinthians 15:51-52 says, “Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” This means that there will be no time left to make any decisions. Some people will go on like there is no tomorrow – but – tomorrow could be the day, are you ready? As Christians we know this to mean the Rapture. This word is not mentioned in the Bible but it is referred to as “being caught up”. Only those in Christ will hear the trumpet.
1 Thessalonians 4:17 tells us, ” Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.” Oh what a day that will be!
Have you asked Jesus into your heart, so that you can take this trip of a lifetime. He is the only one who can issue you this reserved ticket for your trip to heaven. It’s as simple as saying this little prayer and inviting Him in to a relationship with you today.
Read your Bible and get to know Jesus and your heavenly Father. The pages will guide you through the rest of your days here and get you ready for that trip of a lifetime.
You are so loved.
