Deception

I hear many voices inside of me

And, Lord, You know

I don’t want to be deceived

I’m tossed around by every wind of doctrine

Oh, to shun the truth and believe a lie

And I won’t mind the pain

And, Lord, I want to give a lot of love
But only it comes through me from above
And I want to take along a lot of my friends
For the day’s drawing closer to Thee

Do you want to hear the truth?  Would you know if you were being deceived?  It is easier to recognize a counterfeit when you are familiar with the real thing.

I want to get real serious with you.  We have an ever increasing demonic presence in our world today.  It’s kind of another war of sorts…wars and rumors of wars..remember my previous post.  We are being offered various types of lies, made to look appealing and give people hope in whatever circumstance they may be faced with.   Matthew 7:15, “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.”

We are being offered various methods of relief by governments, to ease your pain and anxieties, such as abortions for an unwanted pregnancy or assisted suicide such as MAID, for a quick fix to a person riddled with pain, instead of trying to make them as comfortable as possible, until God wants to take them home.  Even for people who are mentally challenged, instead of finding options to make them feel more accepted and finding something they are interested in and encouraging that interest, MAID is being offered as a quick fix to rid them from society as they are not deemed by the government to be valuable.  This was such the case with the Hitler era where a wonderful people, the Jews, were considered offensive and unvaluable to society that they were exterminated.  Is this the way of our times that the governing powers will allow only those they see fit to live in society?  This is evil and a very big lie.  This is a clear and present danger against us and could be considered a weapon of mass destruction, of sorts, to society as we know it.

When the media, of various forms, TV, newpapers, internet, tell you a story, is it the story of how it actually happened, or is it the journalist’s idea of how it should have happened.  Is the real truth being relayed.  Is it fact or fake?

It seems that everyone wants to get into the act of “their version” of the truth, being true or untrue.  People are so easily swayed to telling others what they think they should hear and not what they need to hear.  People are hypocites, claiming to have moral standards or beliefs of which their own behavior does not have.  But what you don’t know doesn’t hurt you, right?  Wrong!

An then there is the biggest liar of them all, the father of lies,  John 8:43-44, Jesus said, “Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.”

Sometimes we are deceived by people omitting information, denying the truth or exaggerating information.  Our world is filled with con-artists.  The biggest con-artist is Satan, who is deceiving the whole world.  He knows his time is short and everywhere we look we see his handiwork.  He starts out very subtle, encouraging unbelief in God and removing our one true, living God from all aspects of our lives.  It will continue to grow worse in the days to come.
