Present and Future

You could say that Jesus is a merism. He is the Alpha and Omega. He is the Beginning and the End. He is the First and the Last, and everything in between. He is Ruler over all.
“And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:
KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.”
Revelation 19:16
“I am He who lives, and was dead and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen.
And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.”
Revelation 1:18
To the timid believer Jesus is saying: Fear not, for I am the Eternal God! Fear not, for I am the resurrected Christ! Fear not, for I have the keys of death and hell! This is not to scare you but to reassure you that Jesus knows the beginning and ending of your days and everyday in between. When Jesus is your Saviour you have nothing to fear for everything is under control.
Jesus is Lord over all!
