Sarah laughed in her heart at God’s promiseIsaac proved nothing is impossibleMartha wept by the tomb of LazarusOh, but death lost when life spoke a miracle
In God’s perfect timeHe’s never been lateHis plan for your life is worth the waitIn God’s perfect timeYou can always trustWhen the moment is right, the answer will comeIn God’s perfect time
Sometimes between your prayers and God’s answersFaith can be so hard to hold on toAnd with every passing day, doubt whispersOh, but don’t give up ’cause God is gonna move
So when you haven’t heard His voiceAnd you don’t understandYou’re still in God’s loving hand

“In God’s Perfect Time” by The Clark Family
We all strive to be excellent in what we do. Being outstanding or extremely good at something, work or sports.
Some strive for greatness, taking what we’ve done extremely good and gaining the recognition of being distinguished.
And then there is perfection. That which has no flaws. But we all have flaws. As humans, perfection is very hard to deliver.
“That’s just the bees knees!” or “The crème de la crème.” We use the word perfection to describe something we think could not be better. If we take a look at our earth the Creator made, everything in it and everything in God’s timing, we can get an impression about life. Ecclesiastes 3:1, “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven”.
In Ecclesiastes 3:2-3, “A time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted. A time to kill, And a time to heal; A time to break down, And a time to build up.“ Deuteronomy 34:7, “Moses was 120 years old when he died. His eyes were not dim nor his natural vigor diminished.” God kept Moses through his whole span of life to finish what He had started him to do. It was God’s timing.
Time affects our souls. Our human emotions. Ecclesiastes 3:4-5, “A time to weep, and a time to laugh; A time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing.” In John 11:33 it tells us the story of Lazarus, one of Jesus’ dear friends. “Therefore, when Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her weeping, He groaned in the spirit and was troubled.” When Jesus saw the tears of Mary and her friends, He too wept, responding both physically and emotionally as He identified with their sorrow. Showing us that the Lord sees our anguish. When we experience the death of a loved one, God gives us time to grieve and then to heal. God keeps our tears in a bottle, they are His jewels as He cares intimately for every detail of our lives. Our emotions are our completeness of God.
Our Spirits are in God’s timing. Ecclesiastes 3:6-8 says, “A time to gain, And a time to lose; A time to keep, And a time to throw away; A time to tear, And a time to sew; A time to keep silence, And a time to speak; A time to love, And a time to hate; A time of war, And a time of peace.” Our inner discussions, sometimes we win and sometimes we lose. We have tongues and sometimes they get us into trouble as we speak when we should be silent. We may want peace but war is important to bring that peace. War is devastating, but we need to fight for what is right. God uses raw stuff, like wars and hardships to help us produce perseverance and endurance to strengthen our lives.
We need to understand the incite of God. God has plans, God has a purpose. God’s plans are good. Ecclesiastes 3;9-10 says, “What profit has the worker from that in which he labors? I have seen the God-given task with which the sons of men are to be occupied.” God has given each of us gifts, to enable us to do the work for His kingdom. Not all of us are perfect at our jobs but we do our best as God would have us do. It gives us purpose. God’s purpose is clear in that He has put a longing in our hearts for Him. Ecclesiastes 3:11, “He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.” Romans 8:24 tells us, “For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.” In God’s timing, He makes it perfect.
God is mysterious. Ecclesiastes 3:12-13 tells us, “I know that nothing is better for them than to rejoice, and to do good in their lives, and also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor—it is the gift of God.” We are always asking why. Solomon is saying why do we worry about the mysteries of God, especially when God tells us not to fear life, but enjoy what God gives us. We don’t need to know everything, we need to trust God and one day He will tell us everything. We wonder about God’s plan for Jesus and why it had to be that way. God knew we needed Jesus’ presence in our lives. By the blood of Jesus we are forgiven our sins. Isaiah 53:10a, “Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin.” God’s perfect path to eternity for us.
God’s instructions about living is don’t try to figure everything out. Be content with what is through faith. Thank Him for all our blessings. Isaiah 55:9 tells us, “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.” Jesus is God’s invitation to an abundant life and a life in eternity with Him.
Smile big and God smiles bigger. Give thanks in all things for all things, even our trials are teaching us something God wants us to know. Have an attitude of gratitude. Fear God, don’t be afraid of Him, but hold Him in reverence. Ecclesiastes 3:12, “I know that whatever God does, it shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it, and nothing taken from it. God does it, that men should fear before Him.” Don’t fear life. God’s Love is relentless. Jesus endured our sin on the cross, which act was so pure that it gave us forgiveness.
If you haven’t experienced this forgiveness and would like to have Jesus take up that spot in your heart that only He can fill, just open your heart and pray this little prayer and let Him in. Read your Bible, find a good Bible teaching church and others to help you in your walk with Him. You will soon realize that God’s timing for everything is perfect. Even for You.
When worry about the future begins to overtake your mind, remember Proverbs 20:24, “A man’s steps are of the Lord; how then can a man understand his own way.” Our days belong to the Lord, and we are kept in His care through all of them. God is not done yet. Keep trusting in Him, His timing is perfect.
